Tricolor Procession and Bike Rally Held in Dasharathpur Ahead of Independence Day

Jajpur, Odisha, August 14, 2026: Dasharathpur block witnessed a Tricolor procession and bike rally on the eve of Independence Day, with a large number of youth participating in the event under the ‘Har Ghar Tricolor’ campaign.

Participants carried the national flag and rode through the main streets from Jhumpuri Kanthamandap to Mangalpur Bazaar and onward to Maa Kuans Mangala Peeth. Residents gathered along the route in Jhumpuri, Mangalpur and adjoining areas to watch the procession.

BJP leader Gautam Roy also joined the procession and appealed to citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tricolor’ campaign.

According to the organisers, the event was aimed at spreading awareness about patriotism, national unity and respect for the national flag ahead of Independence Day.

An organiser said that the participation of young people reflected their enthusiasm for the national flag and the values associated with Independence Day.

Among those present were Ramesh Samal, Sabyasachi Das and Rajesh Malik, along with local party workers and youth participants. Slogans were raised during the procession as it passed through Mangalpur Bazaar.

The bike rally concluded at Maa Kuans Mangala Peeth, where participants paid tribute and recalled the values associated with the freedom movement.

The procession added to the Independence Day atmosphere in Dasharathpur ahead of the national celebrations on August 15.
