Vandalur Lorry Accident: Two-Wheeler Rider Killed in Fatal Crash

A tragic road accident near Vandalur in Chennai claimed the life of a 39-year-old two-wheeler rider on Sunday morning. The incident occurred on the busy Vandalur–Walajabad Road, where the victim was travelling on his motorcycle.

According to police, the rider, identified as Sathish Kumar, was heading towards Vandalur when a lorry approaching from behind allegedly collided with his motorcycle. The impact of the crash was severe, and the rider suffered fatal injuries. He died on the spot before emergency services could arrive.

Tambaram Traffic Investigation Police rushed to the accident site and shifted the body to Tambaram Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The lorry driver was taken into custody, and a case has been registered.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, including whether overspeeding or negligence played a role. The accident briefly disrupted traffic in the area before normal movement was restored.
