Protest Reported in Sector 62, Noida Over Salary Hike Demands

Noida, April 15: A protest was reported in Sector 62, Noida, on Tuesday as a group of employees gathered to raise concerns over salary revisions and wage-related issues.

According to available information, employees from multiple offices assembled near corporate buildings during working hours, raising slogans and seeking clarity on pending salary hikes. The gathering later extended to nearby roads, leading to traffic congestion in parts of Sector 62.

Officials from the local administration and Noida Police reached the location to manage the situation and regulate traffic movement. Police personnel were deployed to ensure order and prevent any untoward incidents.

Employees participating in the protest cited rising living costs and the absence of recent salary revisions as key concerns. Some participants indicated that their compensation had not kept pace with inflation, leading to dissatisfaction among sections of the workforce.

Traffic movement was temporarily affected in surrounding areas, and authorities coordinated efforts to restore normal flow. As per officials, no major incidents of violence were reported during the protest.
