Pune Lohagad Fort Death Case: Police Arrest Fiancée and Another Man, Probe Alleged Murder Plot

Pune: The death of Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort in Pune, initially believed to be a trekking accident, is now being investigated as a suspected murder case.

Police have arrested Agarwal’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and Chetan Babulal Chaudhary in connection with the incident. Investigators allege that the two were involved in a conspiracy that led to Agarwal’s death. Both accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.

According to police, Agarwal died after falling into a deep gorge at Lohagad Fort on June 18. At the time, the incident was reported as an accident. However, following concerns raised by family members and subsequent investigation, authorities began examining the circumstances surrounding the death more closely.

Investigators said they are reviewing several pieces of evidence, including travel-related documents, witness accounts and surveillance inputs. Police are also examining whether there were any previous attempts to harm the victim, though no final conclusions have been announced.

Officials stated that the case remains under investigation and that all allegations are subject to verification through the legal process.
