*At the Suchindram temple car festival in Kanyakumari,on 2-01-2026, a verbal altercation broke out between Hindu Religious and Hindu Endowments Minister and DMK member – Sekar Babu and a group of devotees. The devotees first began shouting “Hundi thief!” and later chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
In response, the minister angrily and rudely asked the devotees, “Did you eat only leftovers?” or “Did you eat………….?” in an insulting tone. After this exchange, the minister left the place.
