Hyderabad – 6. March: Residents of Golden City near Mir Alam Lake have announced a unique protest against the GHMC’s failure to address the mosquito problem at this location and have announced a Mosquito Batting Premier League. It will be held on March 21 at 7 pm in mosquito-infested areas around Mir Alam Lake. Residents of National Housing Society has invited the GHMC Commissioner, Chief Entomologist and GHMC Entomology Team to participate in the event. Muhammad Javed posted on X that we are happy to inform you that we are organizing a Mosquito Batting Premier League in Golden City near Mir Alam Lake. Make this post viral so that more people participate in it or GHMC wakes up to perform its duties. The post further said that I request all mosquito repellent companies and doctors to also cancel this event to prevent dengue .

The events will be held at different locations near Mir Alam Lake and there will be enough mosquitoes to bite at each location. Javed said, “Just as a joke with the municipal officials, I have made a plan for the Premier League along with the ongoing T20 World Cup.”
