GEM Hospital Launches ‘Operation Infinity’ Robotic Surgery Network at GEM TECHNOSURG 2026

GEM Hospital has announced the launch of “Operation Infinity,” described as an interconnected dual-city robotic surgery network aimed at enhancing collaboration and access to advanced surgical expertise across locations.
The initiative was unveiled during GEM TECHNOSURG 2026, an international conference and live demonstrative workshop held in Chennai on June 19 and 20. The event was inaugurated by Dr. K.G. Arunraj, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu. Scientist Mylswamy Annadurai was also present at the event.
According to GEM Hospital, the network is designed to facilitate connectivity between surgical centers and support advanced robotic-assisted procedures through integrated technology platforms.
Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman of GEM Hospital, said the initiative seeks to expand access to specialized surgical expertise regardless of geographic location.
Dr. P. Senthilnathan, Director of GEM Hospital Chennai, stated that the project represents a significant development in robotic surgery and is intended to enhance surgical precision, safety, and patient care.
Dr. P. Praveen Raj, CEO and Joint Managing Director of GEM Hospital, said the network aims to strengthen collaboration between healthcare facilities and support advanced clinical care through technology-enabled solutions.
GEM TECHNOSURG 2026 brought together surgeons, researchers, innovators, and healthcare professionals to discuss developments in robotic surgery, artificial intelligence, and fluorescence-guided surgical techniques.
