Engineering Student Murder Case in Hyderabad: Police Launch Investigation

 

Hyderabad: An engineering student was killed in an incident reported from the Chilkalguda area of Secunderabad, Hyderabad. The case has prompted a police investigation, with officials stating that multiple angles are being examined.

The victim, identified as Yuvan Akhil Kumar, a third-year B.Tech student allegedly associated with Malla Reddy Engineering College, was attacked late at night near Indiranagar. According to police sources, the student was assaulted with sharp weapons by unidentified individuals.

Local residents informed emergency services, and the injured student was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Preliminary inputs from the investigation suggest that the incident may be linked to a personal dispute. However, police have clarified that all aspects, including possible motives, are under verification. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas and recording statements of witnesses.

Following the incident, local residents and students gathered near the area expressing concern over the crime. Police teams were deployed to maintain order and prevent any further tension.

Officials stated that special teams have been formed to trace and identify the accused. Investigation is currently in progress, and arrests are expected after verification of evidence.

Police have assured that the case will be taken forward as per legal procedure once all facts are established.
