Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district administration is making arrangements for the annual fish prasadam distribution event scheduled to be held at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds on June 8.

Hyderabad district in-charge minister and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar held a review meeting with Hyderabad Collector Priyanka Ala, members of the Bathini family, and other officials at the Hyderabad Collectorate on Thursday.

Officials said large numbers of visitors from Telangana, other Indian states, and abroad are expected to attend the annual event, which has been organized for several decades and is associated with traditional beliefs related to asthma relief.

The minister directed police and civic authorities to implement security arrangements, traffic regulation, parking management, crowd control measures, and lighting facilities at the venue and surrounding areas.

Police officials were also instructed to maintain surveillance to prevent incidents such as theft, pickpocketing, and harassment during the event.
