Jagtial: Proposal Submitted for Post Office Passport Seva Kendra

Residents of Jagtial may soon have access to passport services locally, as a proposal for setting up a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) has been submitted to the central government.

Arvind Dharmapuri, Member of Parliament from Nizamabad, along with local representatives including Dr. Boga Shravani, met Kirti Vardhan Singh in New Delhi and submitted a request for establishing the facility in Jagtial.

Currently, residents of the district are required to travel to distant locations to access passport-related services. The proposed POPSK aims to improve accessibility and reduce travel time for applicants.

Officials stated that the request has been received and is under consideration. A final decision is expected after due process.

If approved, the centre is likely to benefit students, job seekers, and individuals planning to travel abroad by providing passport services closer to their location.
