Cowshed Collapses Due to Heavy Rain; Major Mishap Averted

Kangra: A cowshed belonging to the late Shri Harnam Singh, located in Ward No. 6 of Gram Panchayat Haler Khurd, collapsed following continuous heavy rainfall in the area. The incident occurred during intense rain, causing the walls and roof of the structure to suddenly cave in.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported. However, the cowshed suffered extensive damage. Local residents have urged the administration to provide immediate relief and adequate financial assistance to the affected family.

Avtar Singh, the eldest son of the family, said that due to fears of the ongoing heavy rainfall, they had sold their cattle two days before the incident. He added that had the cattle still been inside the cowshed, the family could have suffered significant losses. He appealed to the government to extend suitable financial assistance to help the family recover from the damage.
