Doppler Radars Monitoring the System
The India Meteorological Department is monitoring the cyclone through its weather surveillance network, including Doppler Weather Radars at Visakhapatnam and Machilipatnam. These observations help meteorologists assess the storm's movement, intensity, and direction.
Residents Advised to Follow Official Warnings
Residents in coastal and low-lying areas should follow the latest advisories issued by the IMD and local district administrations. People should comply with evacuation instructions wherever issued and avoid travelling through flooded areas or approaching the sea during dangerous conditions.
Fishing communities should strictly follow official fishing restrictions and weather warnings. Residents should also remain alert to strong winds, heavy rainfall, possible flooding, and disruptions to transport and electricity supplies.
