Shelter Home Conducts LPG Safety Awareness Programme with Chandrika Bharatgas Agency

Kosapur, Redhills | 25 July 2026
Shelter Home, Kosapur, Redhills, successfully organized a Safety Clinic – "COOK FOOD. SERVE LOVE." in collaboration with Chandrika Bharatgas Agency (Bharat Petroleum), Padi/Kolathur, on 25 July 2026. The programme aimed to promote safe LPG usage and create awareness on accident prevention among children and staff. The event was attended by the Director and all staff members of Shelter Trust, along with the children residing at the home.
During the programme, the Bharatgas trainer conducted a practical demonstration on the correct use of LPG gas cylinders and stoves, proper handling of gas regulators, safe methods of opening and closing the gas supply, identification of gas leaks, emergency response during gas-related accidents, and essential kitchen safety practices. The trainer also inspected the Shelter Home kitchen and provided valuable recommendations to further improve safety standards.
As part of the programme, Chandrika Bharatgas Agency donated a new LPG gas tube to Shelter Home. Stationery kits were distributed to all the children, and LPG safety awareness materials were provided to every child and staff member to reinforce safe cooking practices and emergency preparedness.
The programme significantly enhanced awareness of LPG safety, accident prevention, and responsible handling of cooking gas among all participants. Shelter Trust sincerely expresses its gratitude to Chandrika Bharatgas Agency (Bharat Petroleum), Padi/Kolathur, for conducting this meaningful awareness programme, inspecting the kitchen facilities, donating the LPG gas tube, and supporting the safety and well-being of the children and staff through their community service initiative.
