Unfortunately, all three have become nothing more than silent monuments of neglect. Not a single one is functioning.
These high-mast lights were installed using public funds to ensure safety, improve visibility, and provide convenience to thousands of residents. Today, despite their towering presence, they fail to serve the very purpose for which they were erected.
With all three towers lying non-functional, commuters, students, women, shopkeepers, and elderly citizens are forced to move through poorly lit streets every evening. The absence of proper lighting increases the risk of road accidents, theft, and other criminal activities while creating unnecessary inconvenience for the public.
The most disappointing part is that these structures are clearly visible, reminding everyone of a project that once promised development but now symbolizes administrative negligence. Infrastructure is not merely about constructing expensive projects—it is about maintaining them. A public facility that remains unusable for months or years reflects poorly on governance and accountability.
The people of Borawar are not asking for new projects. They are simply demanding that existing public infrastructure be repaired and made operational. Regular inspections, timely maintenance, and responsible action from the concerned authorities can restore these lights and improve public safety.
Development is measured not by the number of projects inaugurated but by the number of facilities that continue to serve the people.
The residents of Borawar urge the concerned authorities in Makrana, Kuchaman-Didwana District, and Rajasthan to immediately inspect, repair, and restore all three high-mast streetlights so that the town is no longer left in darkness.
