Medak: The Wireless, Antennas and Microwave Symposium (WAMS-2026), hosted by BVRIT Narsapur, commenced on Tuesday with a pre-conference workshop and IEEE Distinguished Lecturer Talks. The fifth edition of the symposium, organized under the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), is scheduled to be held from June 10 to 13.

According to a press release, the pre-conference workshop witnessed participation from scientists, researchers, academicians, and industry experts from various institutions and organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, BVRIT Principal Dr. Sanjay Dubey said the symposium provides an opportunity for students and faculty members to interact with experts in antenna and wireless technologies and gain exposure to developments in the field.

BVRIT Director Dr. K. Lakshmi Prasad said the event would enable students, faculty members, and young engineers to learn about emerging technological advancements and engage with professionals working in wireless communications and related disciplines.

The symposium is expected to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, research discussions, and technological developments in the fields of wireless communications, antennas, and microwave engineering.
