Ratnagiri: In a significant development, the Khed Additional District and Sessions Court has acquitted Anil Parab and other accused in the Sai Resort case related to Murud in Dapoli.
The case, which had been under scrutiny for several years, involved allegations of violations including improper documentation, construction-related irregularities, and other charges under relevant laws. Several officials, including local authorities, were also named in the case.
According to court proceedings, the acquittal was granted due to insufficient evidence to establish the charges against the accused. The court examined the arguments presented and concluded that the prosecution was unable to substantiate the allegations.
The matter had earlier drawn political attention following statements made by Kirit Somaiya. With the court delivering its verdict, the legal proceedings in the case have reached a conclusion, though political reactions may continue.
