Hyderabad: In an effort to assess women’s safety in public spaces, a late-night operation was conducted in the Dilsukhnagar area under the supervision of senior police officials, including Sumathi IPS, Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri.
According to reports, the operation took place between midnight and early morning hours, during which police personnel monitored public behaviour at key locations such as bus stands.
During the exercise, several individuals were detained by police teams for alleged inappropriate conduct and later counselled. Officials stated that the action was part of ongoing efforts to improve public safety and awareness.
The incident has once again drawn attention to concerns regarding women’s safety in urban areas, particularly during late-night hours. Police authorities have indicated that similar checks and increased patrolling may be carried out in the future to ensure safer public spaces.
