Atul Bora’s Hat-trick in Bokakhat Constituency: Elected for the Third Time as MLA from Bokakhat.

In today’s vote counting for the Assam Legislative Assembly elections, Atul Bora, President of the Asom Gana Parishad and candidate of the NDA alliance, won from the 105 Bokakhat constituency with a total of 80,987 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, Hariprasad Saikia of Raijor Dal and the opposition alliance, by a margin of 60,537 votes, securing his third consecutive term as MLA from Bokakhat.

Previously, in the 2016 election, Atul Bora had won with 62,962 votes, defeating Congress candidate Arun Phukan by 40,193 votes. Similarly, in the 2021 election, he secured 72,930 votes, defeating opposition candidate Pranab Doley by 45,181 votes. Notably, in the 2011 election, Bora contested from Bokakhat but lost to Congress candidate Arun Phukan by a margin of 9,804 votes.

Having contested in the last three elections, Atul Bora has now firmly won the confidence of the people of the 105 Bokakhat constituency, achieving victory for the third time.

According to today’s official results, the vote tally in Bokakhat constituency is as follows:
– Atul Bora (AGP/NDA): 80,987 votes.
– Hariprasad Saikia (Opposition Alliance): 20,450 votes.
– Pranab Doley (Independent): 14,250 votes
– Jiten Gogoi (Independent): 13,231 votes.
– Vivekananda Rajowar (Gondwana Ganatantra Party): 2,882 votes.
– Hemanta (Independent): 1,130 votes.
