Jaipur, Rajasthan: Vimal Kumar Jain, a resident of Jaipur, has submitted a representation addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking action against alleged fraudulent loan applications operating in India.
In his communication, Jain stated that he has been conducting an independent investigation for the past two months under the banner of Manav Seva Mission. He claimed that several loan applications available through digital platforms are allegedly involved in practices that may adversely affect users.
According to the representation, the applications are alleged to collect personal data, engage in harassment of borrowers, and cause financial and social distress to affected individuals. Jain stated that he has gathered information and evidence regarding the functioning of such applications and is willing to present his findings before the appropriate authorities.
In his appeal, he requested a detailed investigation into the operations of such applications, strict action against any entities found violating the law, stronger regulatory measures to protect consumers, and safeguards against financial fraud and harassment.
He also sought an opportunity to present his findings before the relevant government authorities for examination and appropriate action.
The concerns raised in the representation reflect growing public discussions around digital lending platforms and consumer protection. Any findings regarding alleged misconduct would be subject to investigation and determination by the competent authorities.
