DSSSB Recruitment 2026: Applications Open for 1,979 Posts Across Teaching and Technical Categories
Delhi, June 17, IPU Media Update News: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released a recruitment notification for a total of 1,979 vacancies across various teaching, technical, and scientific positions. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online until July 15, 2026.
One of the major highlights of the recruitment drive is the availability of 675 vacancies for candidates with qualifications in Computer Science. Applicants with a B.Sc., BCA, B.Tech, or B.E. in Computer Science or Information Technology are eligible to apply for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Computer Science posts. Candidates holding a non-Computer Science degree along with a DOEACC (now NIELIT) ‘A’ Level certification are also eligible. Notably, a B.Ed. qualification is not mandatory for these Computer Science teaching posts.
Selected candidates for eligible posts will receive salaries as per the applicable pay scales, ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹1,42,400 per month depending on the position.

- Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics): 16 posts
Educational Qualifications
Educational requirements vary according to the post. Depending on the position, candidates may be required to possess qualifications such as:
- D.Ed., B.Ed., or Special Education qualifications
- Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) certification
- Degree in Domestic Science/Home Science
- Intermediate qualification
- B.E./B.Tech degree
- CTET certification (where applicable)
- Master’s degree in relevant disciplines such as Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Anthropology, Biology, Human Biology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Forensic Science, Chemistry, or Toxicology

Age Limit
The prescribed age limit varies by post, generally ranging from 18 to 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 to 15 years
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100. However, women candidates, SC/ST candidates, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen are exempt from paying the fee.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a written examination. The minimum qualifying marks are:
- General/EWS: 40%
- OBC: 35%
- SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen: 30%
