By Vimal Jain, a reporter
YouTube, Instagram, and other social media sites are popular places to make and share content, but they’re also popular places for scams. Vimal Jain, a reporter, has found a disturbing trend: people who sell fake subscribers, likes, and engagement are targeting new creators.
Vimal Jain says that these scammers openly ask for money from people who want to be creators, promising instant fame through fake followers or bought followers. Many victims fall for these scams because they want to quickly improve their online presence. They lose money but don’t see any real growth. It’s shocking that these dishonest people don’t seem to care about the legal consequences and keep doing what they’re doing without fear of punishment.”This is a big problem for the creative community,” Vimal Jain said. “New creators shouldn’t be tricked into paying for fake metrics.” What really matters is your talent, creativity, and hard work. Experts say that these scams hurt individual creators financially and also mess up the platform ecosystem, giving dishonest people an unfair advantage. Vimal Jain asks government officials and platform owners to take charge and make sure that these activities are safe and fair for creators. The message is clear: make sure you make good content, stay safe from online scams, and remember that there is no substitute for hard work. To keep trust and integrity in the digital world, platforms need to do more to stop these bad actors.
