Haryana Police Arrest 7 Suspected Members of Interstate ‘Pardi Gulel’ Gang After Late-Night Encounter in Mahendergarh
Mahendergarh, Haryana: Haryana Police arrested seven alleged members of the “Pardi Gulel” gang following a late-night police operation near the district court complex in Mahendergarh district.
According to police officials, the operation was conducted after authorities received intelligence inputs regarding the movement of suspected gang members in the area. A special police team launched surveillance and attempted to intercept the suspects near the court premises late at night.
Police stated that the suspects allegedly opened fire while attempting to escape, leading to a brief exchange of gunfire. During the operation, two accused sustained injuries and were taken into custody before being shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officials confirmed that all seven accused have been arrested. Police said that illegal weapons, ammunition, burglary tools, and other materials were recovered during the operation.
According to investigators, the group is suspected to be involved in theft, burglary, and other interstate criminal activities across multiple states. Police are currently verifying the accused persons’ possible links to previously reported cases in Haryana and neighboring regions.
Senior police officers stated that the accused are being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation to identify any additional associates or networks connected to the group.
Following the incident, security measures in Mahendergarh district have been increased while police continue further investigation and search operations.
