A double murder case is under investigation in Southeast Delhi after a woman and her adopted teenage son were found dead inside their residence in the Govindpuri area. Police officials confirmed that both victims had sustained multiple stab injuries.
According to preliminary information, neighbors alerted authorities after repeated attempts to contact the family reportedly went unanswered. Police teams later entered the residence and discovered the bodies inside the house. Forensic teams were subsequently called to examine the crime scene, while the bodies were sent for postmortem examination.
Police sources stated that the victims had recently returned from a trip to Manali. Investigators are examining multiple possible angles in the case, including personal, financial, and other related circumstances. CCTV footage from nearby areas and digital records are also being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Officials said that several teams have been formed to identify and trace those responsible. No arrests had been officially announced at the time of reporting.
