Following the recent Kerala Assembly election results, discussions within the Congress party regarding the Chief Ministerial position are said to be continuing, with senior leader V.D. Satheesan emerging as one of the prominent names under consideration, according to political sources.

Sources indicate that the Congress high command has been holding a series of consultations to decide the leadership of the Kerala Congress Legislature Party (CLP). While no official announcement has been made so far, multiple senior leaders are believed to be part of the ongoing discussions.

Apart from V.D. Satheesan, leaders such as K.C. Venugopal and Ramesh Chennithala are also reported to be among those being considered for key leadership roles.
