A fire broke out today at the BSNL office on Anna Salai in Chennai. The fire, which started on the 2nd floor, spread to the 3rd and 4th floors, causing widespread panic. Upon receiving the information, fire department personnel from Egmore, Triplicane, Vepery, Mylapore, and other areas rushed to the scene with 10 fire tenders and engaged in firefighting operations. As a result, various government services dependent on BSNL have been temporarily disrupted. In particular, customers are facing severe difficulties as they are unable to pay their electricity bills. Similarly, services including 108 (emergency services) and 100 were also affected. Firefighters are currently actively engaged in extinguishing the fire.
