Filed by activist Yogendra Sangle through the Chief Minister’s Secretariat Cell at the District Collectorate, the grievance demands decisive legal and physical action against pervasive land grabs and illegal land conversions in Rashin.During a high-level review meeting, Collector Ashiya directed multiple government departments to execute immediate time-bound enforcement across four critical areas:1. Shri Jagdamba Devi Temple Land & Property Card No. 1051Removal of Unlawful Entries: The Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO/Prant) of Karjat has been ordered to immediately annul all illegal encroachments, secondary rights entries, and unauthorized tenant (Kul) claims recorded on the properties of the historic Shri Jagdamba Devi Temple.Special Counsel for Status Quo Vacation: Regarding disputed Property Card No. 1051, directions were issued to appoint a Special Government Pleader to move the court to vacate the existing status quo order, paving the way for an official land measurement and legal restoration of temple title holdings.2. Encroachments on PWD Lands, Roads, Footpaths, and DrainsArterial Demolition Drives: The Public Works Department (PWD) has been ordered to immediately clear all illegal structures, roadside stalls, and drain blockages along the vital Rashin–Bhigwan and Rashin–Karmala road corridors.Mandatory Police Protection: The Police Department was explicitly instructed to provide adequate force and security to PWD teams during eviction operations to maintain law and order.3. Gram Panchayat Land EncroachmentsSupreme Court Appeal: Addressing the illegal occupation of public Gram Panchayat lands in Rashin, the District Gram Panchayat Department was instructed to complete procedural formalities and move the Supreme Court of India to reclaim the municipal property.4.
