Bhogapuram Airport Set for Major Milestone as Andhra Pradesh Steps Up Inauguration Preparations

Visakhapatnam/Vizianagaram: Preparations are underway for the inauguration of the greenfield airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district, a major infrastructure project expected to strengthen air connectivity and support economic activity in North Andhra.

The project, being developed by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL) in partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, is expected to play an important role in improving connectivity for the Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam regions.

According to the project plan, the airport is being developed in phases, with the initial phase designed to handle millions of passengers annually. The facility is also planned to include modern passenger terminals and supporting aviation infrastructure, with capacity expected to expand in future phases.
