President Droupadi Murmu will be on a three-day visit to Himachal Pradesh beginning today. The President will attend the first convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, as the Chief Guest today. Following the convocation ceremony, the President is scheduled to travel to Manali

On the first day of her three-day visit to Himachal Pradesh, President Droupadi Murmu will attend the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS, Bilaspur, as the Chief Guest and confer degrees upon the graduating doctors. According to the proposed programme, the President will reach AIIMS at around 10:30 this morning. Governor of Himachal Pradesh Kavinder Gupta, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda will also attend the convocation ceremony.

On the second day of her Himachal Pradesh visit, October 7, President Murmu will visit the famous Hidimba Temple in Manali and also the Atal Tunnel in Rohtang.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made in Bilaspur and Kullu districts in view of the President’s visit. Additional police personnel and security forces have been deployed at the AIIMS premises as well as along the routes to be taken by the President. The President is scheduled to return to Delhi on the morning of October 8.
