‘Raksha Sutra’ Strengthens Bonds of Brotherhood in Belagavi
Belagavi: The Rotaract Club of Venugram Belgaum organised a special Raksha Bandhan initiative titled ‘Raksha Sutra’, celebrating the values of brotherhood, gratitude, respect, and protection.
The celebrations commenced at the Army Commando Wing, Belagavi, where members of the club had the opportunity to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Army personnel. Rakhis were tied to the brave soldiers as a gesture of gratitude and respect for their dedication and service to the nation. The interaction created a meaningful moment of connection between the Rotaractors and the Army personnel.
The celebrations later continued at Government Marathi Higher Primary School No. 34, where students enthusiastically participated in the Raksha Bandhan festivities. The students tied rakhis to fellow Rotaractors, celebrating the spirit of brotherhood and creating an atmosphere filled with happiness and warmth.
The initiative aimed to highlight the deeper meaning of Raksha Bandhan beyond the traditional ritual, focusing on bonds built through care, respect, gratitude, and a sense of responsibility towards one another.
The participation of Army personnel, school students, and Rotaractors made ‘Raksha Sutra’ a memorable and meaningful celebration. The initiative reflected the Rotaract Club of Venugram Belgaum’s efforts towards community engagement and creating meaningful social connections.
The celebration served as a reminder that a rakhi is not merely a thread but a symbol of trust, protection, gratitude, and the bonds that unite people.
