A 20-year-old man, Surendra Singh Choudhary, popularly known as Bittu Tabahi, has drawn widespread attention on social media after a video of him cleaning the trash-filled Ajnar River went viral.

The young man’s dedication to cleaning the polluted waterway has now opened a new chapter in his life, with a reported job offer from The Ocean Cleanup.
Founded by Dutch inventor and entrepreneur Boyan Slat, The Ocean Cleanup aims to tackle plastic pollution in oceans and rivers through large-scale cleanup technologies. The organisation has set a long-term goal of removing 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040.
