The North Zonal Conference will be held on April 24, 2026, in Lucknow, bringing together top policymakers, experts, and farmers to shape the future of agriculture in North India. The event will be led by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, giving it strong national significance.
The conference will see participation from six states and three Union Territories, along with scientists, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), startups, banks, and progressive farmers. Unlike routine meetings, this platform is designed to connect policy with ground realities and practical solutions.
Key discussions will focus on Kisan Credit Card expansion, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, horticulture opportunities, pulses self-sufficiency, edible oil missions, and the Digital Agriculture Mission. Critical challenges like fake pesticides, fertilizer black marketing, and sustainable farming practices will also be addressed.
States including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand will showcase their best agricultural models, encouraging knowledge exchange and scalable solutions.
The conference is expected to set clear priorities for agricultural growth, sustainability, and farmer welfare across North India, with outcomes likely to influence future policies and on-ground implementation.
