Residents Question Delay as Small Road Patch Remains Incomplete at Bunderpakhadi

Residents of Bunderpakhadi near Gaurav Gardens and Aarti Avishkar Complex in Kandivali West are facing persistent inconvenience due to a small but critical patch of road that has been left incomplete, creating significant difficulties for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic from surrounding residential areas.
The unfinished stretch, though limited in length, has become a choke point for daily movement. Uneven surfacing, loose construction material, and a sudden drop in road level have made it especially challenging for senior citizens, children, and two and four -wheeler riders alike. Cars accessing residential buildings are forced to slow down abruptly, often leading to traffic congestion and near-miss incidents.
Locals point out that the road on either side of the patch appears to be completed, making the incomplete section more confusing and dangerous at all times of the day. “It’s a small patch, but it creates a big problem. Vehicles scrape the bottom, pedestrians struggle to walk, and everyone is at risk,” said a resident of the area.
The issue becomes more severe during morning hours when office-goers and school traffic pass through Bunderpakhadi. Considering monsoons would arrive in a months time, water will accumulates in the uneven stretch, turning it into a slippery and hazardous zone.
Residents have questioned why such a minor yet crucial portion of the road has been left unfinished for an extended period. The delay has raised concerns about project oversight and the lack of coordination in road restoration after infrastructure work.
Citizens are now urging the concerned civic authorities to immediately complete the pending road patch and ensure proper leveling and surfacing. They also demand stricter monitoring of roadworks to prevent partial completions that compromise public safety.
As Kandivali West continues to grow as a residential hub, residents emphasize that infrastructure development must be completed in full—not in parts. For those using Bunderpakhadi daily, the expectation is simple: a safe, continuous road that serves its purpose without putting lives and vehicles at risk.
