- Severe traffic congestion is occurring at the Kerala-Tamil Nadu state border checkpost in the Kolippara area of Kaliyakkavilai in Kanyakumari district due to heavy vehicles being stopped there in national highway. This is causing difficulties for vehicles heading to the airport, railway station, and schools and colleges. Social activists and the public are demanding that the authorities take action to reduce the congestion.
