Juba, April 28: A passenger aircraft crashed on the outskirts of Juba, the capital of South Sudan, resulting in the death of all 14 people on board.

The aircraft, identified as a Cessna 208 Caravan operated by City Link Aviation, was flying from Yei to Juba when the incident occurred. According to officials, the plane lost contact with air traffic control shortly before reaching its destination and later crashed approximately 20 kilometers southwest of Juba.

The South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that all passengers and crew, including the pilot, died in the crash. Among the deceased were two Kenyan nationals and 12 South Sudanese citizens.

Preliminary reports indicate that poor weather conditions and reduced visibility may have contributed to the accident. However, authorities have stated that a detailed investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause.
