Unveiling Deception: How a Fake US University Exploited Indian Students and H-1B Aspirants

In a shocking revelation, a newly published book has shed light on how a fraudulent university in the United States targeted Indian students seeking higher education and employment opportunities in the tech industry. This elaborate scam has raised serious concerns about the integrity of educational institutions abroad and the vulnerabilities of aspiring professionals in India.

The book details a recent video recorded by PK Srinivas, an IT professional, in early 2015. In this candid clip titled ‘Edu Episode 53: Students FAQs – BTech, MS in USA’, Srinivas passionately addressed the plight of graduates struggling to find jobs after completing their degrees. He urged viewers to conduct a ‘Root Cause Analysis’ to understand their employment challenges, prompting them to question the effectiveness of their educational institutions and even their local and national leaders. His call to action highlights a pervasive frustration among young Indians eager to enter the workforce.

Srinivas pointed out the responsibilities of educational authorities, questioning the legitimacy of numerous BTech colleges if they fail to produce job-ready graduates. “If there are no industries to support these institutions, why are they allowed to operate?” he asked, echoing the sentiments of many who have invested time and resources into their education, only to be met with unemployment.

As the conversation progressed, Srinivas disclosed an alarming truth regarding the experiences of thousands of Indian students who enrolled in foreign universities. He mentioned that students are often aware of the reputation of the institutions they apply to. Citing examples of prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) versus lesser-known colleges, he emphasized that many students knowingly apply to dubious establishments like the notorious Tri-Valley University, which has been implicated in various immigration scams. The implications are significant: these institutions often lure students with the promise of work visas and lucrative job opportunities.

The repercussions of these scams extend beyond individual students; they undermine the credibility of legitimate educational pathways for Indian professionals. The H-1B visa system, designed to allow skilled workers to contribute to the U.S. economy, has been exploited by unscrupulous institutions that prey on the aspirations of Indian youth. As a result, many find themselves caught in a cycle of debt and disillusionment when their dreams are shattered by the harsh realities of a fraudulent system.

In light of these revelations, it is crucial for students and their families to conduct thorough research before committing to foreign education programs. The allure of studying abroad has never been stronger, but it also comes with potential risks. Awareness and vigilance are essential to ensure that aspiring professionals can navigate the complexities of international education without falling prey to scams.
