Bengaluru: Police Register Complaint in Marital Dispute Case, Probe Underway

Bengaluru, April 2026: Police in Bengaluru have registered a complaint filed by a man alleging harassment and mental cruelty in a marital dispute, officials said.

According to the complaint, the man has accused his spouse of coercive behaviour and inappropriate conduct within the marriage. He has also alleged emotional distress and violation of personal boundaries. Police confirmed that the allegations are part of a formal complaint and are currently under examination.

Authorities have initiated a preliminary inquiry to verify the claims. No conclusions have been drawn so far, and officials stated that all aspects of the case will be investigated in accordance with due process.

Legal experts note that such cases are assessed based on evidence, and both parties are entitled to present their version of events. Matters related to marital disputes, consent, and mental cruelty are handled under existing legal provisions, depending on the specifics of each case.
