Customer in Hyderabad Reports Incorrect Food Delivery Order, Raises Service Concerns

Hyderabad | Kondapur:

A customer in Hyderabad has reported receiving an incorrect food order through Swiggy, raising concerns about order accuracy and service quality.

According to the customer, the order—placed via the platform—included two plates of mutton biryani from a restaurant listed on the app. However, upon delivery after approximately one hour, the package reportedly contained chicken biryani instead.

The customer further claimed that they were billed for mutton biryani, which is priced higher than chicken biryani, leading to concerns about a possible mismatch between the order placed and the item delivered. These claims could not be independently verified at the time of reporting.

The incident has highlighted broader concerns among users regarding order verification, packaging accuracy, and grievance redressal mechanisms in food delivery services.

As of now, there has been no official response from the concerned restaurant or the delivery platform regarding the issue.

The customer has indicated that the matter may be escalated through consumer grievance channels if a satisfactory resolution is not provided.

With the growing reliance on online food delivery services in urban areas, such incidents underline the importance of maintaining service quality and customer trust.
