Kundalwadi Police, Revenue Officials Hold Peace Meeting in Mashti Village

Mashti | District Correspondent (IPU):

Officials from the Kundalwadi Police and Dharmabad Revenue Administration conducted a peace and social harmony meeting in Mashti village following a dispute reported between members of the Maratha and Dalit communities earlier this month.

According to officials, the disagreement began on May 8, 2026, over local issues and led to cross-complaints being registered. In an effort to maintain law and order and prevent escalation, administrative and police officials organized a joint meeting at the Gram Panchayat office on May 14.

The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Archana Patil, Tehsildar Surekha Swami, BDO Mr. Kshirsagar, SDPO Dashrath Patil, API Dnyaneshwar Shinde, and PSI Gajendra Manjramkar.

Around 60 residents from both communities reportedly participated in the discussions. During the meeting, several civic issues raised by villagers were discussed, including:

  • Pending cremation ground-related matters
  • Supply of RO drinking water
  • Land allocation for a Buddhist Vihara
  • Installation of a flour mill in the locality

Officials stated that necessary instructions were issued to the concerned departments regarding these matters.

Police also appealed to residents not to spread or believe rumors on social media and urged people to cooperate in maintaining peace and communal harmony in the region.
