Construction of a large-scale sports infrastructure project in Nagpur is progressing steadily, with authorities aiming to create a comprehensive hub for athletics, recreation, and community activities. The upcoming complex, being developed at the divisional level, is expected to become a key destination for sports enthusiasts once completed.

District Collector Kumar Ashirwad recently conducted an on-site review at the Mankapur location to assess the pace and quality of work. He directed officials to ensure that construction standards remain uncompromised and examined the ongoing engineering and material usage in detail. The inspection was carried out in the presence of District Sports Officer Pallavi Dhatrak.

The project is designed as a multi-block facility offering a wide range of amenities. One section will include essential features such as parking areas, professional-grade swimming and diving pools, and dedicated zones for sports science and indoor activities. Higher levels are planned to accommodate spaces for various disciplines including shooting, fitness training, martial arts, and indoor sports.

Another major block of the development will house additional infrastructure such as event halls, recreational areas, sports courts, and wellness facilities. Plans also include lifestyle features like a rooftop pool, dining areas, and residential accommodations including serviced apartments and premium suites.

With multiple components integrated into a single campus, the development aims to cater not only to athletes but also to the general public, positioning itself as a significant addition to the city’s sporting ecosystem.
