BJP Leaders Demand Action Over Alleged Encroachment of Nirmal Agricultural Market Yard Land

Demand Reconstruction of Demolished Compound Wall and Slab

NIRMAL: BJP leaders, members of the BJP Kisan Morcha and farmers visited the Agricultural Market Yard in Nirmal town to inspect allegations of encroachment of government land following the demolition of a section of the market yard’s compound wall.

BJP leaders and farmers alleged that attempts were being made to encroach upon government land belonging to the Agricultural Market Yard, allegedly with the support of Appala Ganesh Chakravarthy, the municipal vice-chairman associated with the ruling Congress party. They further alleged that a private individual had undertaken construction work at the site after demolishing part of the compound wall and an existing slab.

The leaders expressed concern that despite a complaint reportedly being lodged with the police by the Market Committee secretary, effective action had not yet been taken by the revenue authorities. They demanded legal action against those allegedly involved in the encroachment and called for their arrest and remand in accordance with the law.

The BJP leaders put forward four key demands: legal action against those responsible for the alleged encroachment, reconstruction of the demolished compound wall and slab under official supervision, protection of market yard land against future encroachments, and an inquiry by senior officials into the alleged negligence of the concerned authorities.

They warned that if the authorities failed to protect government land, the BJP Kisan Morcha would intensify its agitation and take the issue to the public.

Senior BJP leaders Ravula Ramanath, Takkala Ramana Reddy, Doddikindi Muthyam Reddy, Medisemma Raju, Sadam Aravind, Sama Rajeshwar Reddy, district vice-president Satyam Chandrakanth, district general secretary Karipe Vilas, BJYM Nirmal district president Doddikindi Niranjan Reddy, Nirmal town president Sunkari Sai, councillors, sarpanches and farmers participated in the visit.
