Why Regular Transfers Matter
The development also brings attention to the administrative practice of rotational transfers at the field level.
Regular transfers are sometimes considered useful for reducing the possibility of long-term concentration of responsibilities and for bringing fresh administrative perspectives to local offices.
At the same time, frequent transfers can affect continuity and local administrative knowledge. Field-level officials may have detailed familiarity with beneficiaries, pending housing projects, MGNREGS works and other local matters. Transfers can also involve administrative adjustments and personal difficulties for employees.
For now, the 65 PEOs covered by the transfer order will continue at their existing places of posting until further orders from the Collector, Jajpur.
Note: The transfer and abeyance details in this report are based on the cited office orders. The detailed block-wise numerical breakup should be published only after matching it with the official transfer order.
