Jajpur Flood Situation: 6 Blocks, 297 Villages Affected; Over 1.32 Lakh People Benefited From Relief Measures

Jajpur, Odisha: According to an official flood situation report issued by the Civil Supplies Officer of Jajpur district, six blocks—Dasarathpur, Jajpur, Binjharpur, Barchana, Korei and Bari—were affected by flooding. The report recorded impacts across 101 Gram Panchayats and 297 villages, with 242 relief camps opened in the affected areas.

A total of 1,32,353 people benefited from relief measures, including 1,05,729 adults and 27,524 children. Dasarathpur recorded the highest number of beneficiaries at 39,162, followed by Jajpur Block with 27,003 beneficiaries.

According to the report, 1,305.96 quintals of chuda and 178.62 quintals of gur were distributed as relief materials. No rice distribution was recorded in the report.

Block-wise Flood Situation

Dasarathpur Block: Nineteen GPs and 59 villages were affected, with 87 relief camps opened. A total of 39,162 people benefited from relief measures, including 32,286 adults and 6,876 children. Relief distribution included 382.50 quintals of chuda and 39.91 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported on July 28, 2026, at 4 PM.

Binjharpur Block: Eleven GPs and 36 villages were affected, with 39 relief camps opened. The number of beneficiaries stood at 4,400, including 2,745 adults and 1,655 children. Relief distribution included 190.24 quintals of chuda and 19.16 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported on July 29, 2026, at 4 PM.

Jajpur Block: Twenty GPs and 37 villages were affected, while 22 relief camps were opened. A total of 27,003 people benefited from relief measures, including 21,001 adults and 6,002 children. Relief distribution included 59.57 quintals of chuda and 7.66 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported on July 28, 2026, at 4 PM.

Barchana Block: Eleven GPs and 28 villages were affected, with 13 relief camps opened. The report recorded 20,757 beneficiaries, including 16,190 adults and 5,466.5 children. Relief distribution included 195.40 quintals of chuda and 69.70 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported on July 30, 2026, at 4 PM.

Bari Block: Twenty-nine GPs and 98 villages were affected, with 70 relief camps opened. A total of 20,376 people benefited from relief measures, including 17,684 adults and 2,692 children. Relief distribution included 298.35 quintals of chuda and 24.20 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported on July 30, 2026, at 11 AM.
