Jajpur Flood Situation: 6 Blocks, 297 Villages Affected; Over 1.32 Lakh People Benefited From Relief Measures

Jajpur, Odisha, August 3, 2026: According to a flood situation report signed by the Civil Supplies Officer on August 3, 2026, six blocks in Odisha's Jajpur district have been affected by flooding, with 101 Gram Panchayats and 297 villages reporting impacts. A total of 242 relief camps have been opened across the affected areas.

The report states that 1,32,353 people have benefited from relief measures, including 1,05,729 adults and 27,524 children. Dasarathpur recorded the highest number of beneficiaries at 39,162, followed by Jajpur Block with 27,003 beneficiaries.

Relief materials distributed across the affected blocks included 1,305.96 quintals of chuda and 178.62 quintals of gur. No rice distribution was recorded in the report.

Dasarathpur Block: A total of 19 GPs and 59 villages were affected, with 87 relief camps opened. The number of beneficiaries stood at 39,162, including 32,286 adults and 6,876 children. Relief distribution included 382.50 quintals of chuda and 39.91 quintals of gur. The flood situation was reported from July 28, 2026, at 4 PM.

Binjharpur Block: Eleven GPs and 36 villages were affected, while 39 relief camps were opened. A total of 4,400 people benefited from relief measures, including 2,745 adults and 1,655 children. The block received 190.24 quintals of chuda and 19.16 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported from July 29, 2026, at 4 PM.

Jajpur Block: Twenty GPs and 37 villages were affected, with 22 relief camps opened. The total number of beneficiaries was 27,003, including 21,001 adults and 6,002 children. Relief distribution included 59.57 quintals of chuda and 7.66 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported from July 28, 2026, at 4 PM.

Barchana Block: Eleven GPs and 28 villages were affected, with 13 relief camps opened. A total of 20,757 beneficiaries were reported, including 16,190 adults. Bari Block: Twenty-nine GPs and 98 villages were affected, with 70 relief camps opened. A total of 20,376 people benefited from relief measures, including 17,684 adults and 2,692 children. Relief distribution included 298.35 quintals of chuda and 24.20 quintals of gur. Flooding was reported from July 30, 2026, at 11 AM.
