Bharat Innovates 2026: India-France Innovation Showcase Opens in Nice

Nice, France, June 14, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron jointly inaugurated Bharat Innovates 2026 in Nice, France, marking the start of a three-day innovation and technology showcase focused on strengthening collaboration between India and France.

Organized by India’s Ministry of Education, the event features participation from startups, academic institutions, investors, and technology leaders across multiple sectors, including advanced computing, semiconductors, space technology, biotechnology, and energy.

According to organizers, the event brings together 120 startups, more than 20 Institutes of Excellence, and over 350 investors and venture capital representatives from different countries.

The programme aims to provide a platform for innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors to exchange ideas, explore partnerships, and promote technological innovation. During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of developing technologies that are trusted, inclusive, and focused on societal benefit.

Organizers stated that Bharat Innovates 2026 is intended to support ongoing cooperation between Indian and international innovation ecosystems, with a particular focus on strengthening India-France collaboration in emerging technologies.

The event is expected to feature discussions, exhibitions, networking sessions, and presentations highlighting developments in research, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven solutions.
