Awareness Program on Anti-Ragging, Anti-Drugs, and Cyber Crime Held at Nizamabad Medical College

Nizamabad:

An awareness program on anti-ragging, drug abuse prevention, and cyber crime awareness was conducted at the Government Medical College in Nizamabad. The event was attended by Commissioner of Police P. Sai Chaitanya as the chief guest.

Addressing the students, the Commissioner highlighted that ragging is a punishable offense under the law and stressed the importance of maintaining a respectful and safe academic environment within educational institutions.

Speaking on drug abuse, he warned that the use of narcotic substances can have serious consequences on an individual’s health and future. He advised students to stay alert and report any suspicious drug-related activities. He also mentioned that information related to such activities can be shared through the toll-free helpline number 1908.

The Commissioner further spoke about the rising risks of cyber crime and urged students to exercise caution while using the internet and social media platforms. He emphasized the need to protect personal data and remain aware of online fraud and security threats.

Students who attended the program expressed their commitment to responsible behavior and awareness regarding these issues.
