Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has extended the summer vacation for schools across the state. As per the latest decision, schools will reopen on June 15 instead of the previously announced date of June 12.
According to the earlier academic schedule, schools were scheduled to resume classes on June 12. However, concerns were raised regarding reopening schools for only one working day before the second Saturday and Sunday holidays on June 13 and 14.
Following requests from parents, teachers and educational institutions, the state government reviewed the matter and decided to extend the vacation period in the interest of students’ convenience.
The revised reopening date of June 15 will be applicable to all government and private schools in Telangana, according to the government order.
Students and parents have been advised to follow official notifications issued by the School Education Department for any further updates regarding the academic calendar.
