IMD Forecasts Rainfall and Thunderstorms in Parts of Gujara

Ahmedabad, June 20: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in several parts of Gujarat over the coming days as monsoon activity progresses across the region.

According to weather forecasts, various districts may experience intermittent showers, cloudy conditions, and gusty winds. Local weather conditions may vary, and rainfall intensity could differ from one area to another.

The IMD has advised residents to remain alert during periods of thunderstorm activity and to follow official weather updates issued by local authorities. Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during lightning events and to take appropriate precautions in low-lying areas that may be susceptible to temporary waterlogging.

Weather-related disruptions, including slower traffic movement and reduced visibility during heavy rainfall, may occur in some locations. Authorities are monitoring conditions and are prepared to respond if adverse weather develops.

Meteorologists attribute the current weather pattern to ongoing monsoon activity influencing parts of western India. Further updates are expected as weather systems evolve.
