Jagtial, April 26:
BJP State leader Dr. Boga Sravani Praveen has urged authorities to expedite the allotment of land for a proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jagtial district, highlighting concerns over delays in the project.
Speaking at a press conference at the Jagtial Press Club, she stated that the establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya is important for improving educational infrastructure in the region. She called on district authorities and public representatives to take prompt action on the matter.
Dr. Sravani noted that while a Navodaya Vidyalaya has already been established in Korutla, the proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jagtial is still awaiting land allotment. She said that around 10 acres of land has been identified in the Valanthari area of Chalgall village in Jagtial Rural Mandal.
She further stated that if the issue is not resolved by May 15, BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind may launch a protest, including a hunger strike, to draw attention to the matter.
The BJP leader also compared the situation with other districts where land has reportedly been allotted for similar institutions and called for clarity on the delay in Jagtial.
No official response from district authorities or other public representatives was available at the time of filing this report.
Several local BJP leaders and party workers were present at the press conference.
