An Unbroken Devotion: Sant Rajnath Ji’s Long-Standing Tapasya at Sambhara Balaji

Located in Sambhara near Pachpadra in Rajasthan’s Balotra district, the Balaji Temple has become known among devotees for the long-standing spiritual practice of Sant Rajnath Ji. According to devotees and local accounts, the ascetic has been observing a form of penance known as Khade Tapasya (standing meditation) for approximately 18 years.

Followers say that Sant Rajnath Ji spends most of his time in a standing posture and uses a swing-like support band (jhula) for rest while continuing his spiritual discipline. The practice is described as an expression of devotion to Lord Hanuman (Balaji) and a prayer for peace and well-being.

The tapasya has attracted devotees, visitors, and spiritual seekers from different regions, contributing to the religious significance of the temple. Many visitors regard the practice as a symbol of dedication, discipline, and faith.

Local residents and devotees consider Sant Rajnath Ji’s spiritual journey an important part of the temple’s identity and a source of inspiration for those who visit the shrine.
