SSP Anantnag Reviews Crime Scenario, Honours Officers for Major NDPS Action
Anantnag, May 18 : Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure on Monday chaired an operational and crime review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag to assess the prevailing crime situation and monitor the status of investigations across the district.
The meeting was attended by SP Headquarters Anantnag Sunny Gupta, ASP North Camp Aishmuqam Rameez Raja, DySP Headquarters Anantnag, DySP DAR DPL Anantnag, besides all SDPOs, SHOs and In-Charges of police posts of the district.
During the session, the SSP felicitated SDPO Bijbehara, SHO Bijbehara and DO Sangam for their outstanding performance in registering the highest number of cases under the NDPS Act and targeting the financial networks of drug traffickers.
The meeting witnessed a comprehensive review of pending investigations, execution of warrants, disposal of under-investigation cases and action taken against habitual offenders. Officers also discussed measures aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and timely completion of investigations.
Addressing the officers, SSP Anantnag stressed the need for speedy disposal of pending cases and directed officials to ensure professional and lawful handling of crime-related matters. He called for strict surveillance on criminal activities, better coordination among investigating officers and intensified action against anti-social elements.
He further instructed officers to prepare legally strong cases in NDPS matters to ensure effective prosecution of drug peddlers and traffickers. Emphasis was also laid on strengthening preventive policing, maintaining proper crime records and ensuring prompt action in sensitive cases.
Highlighting accountability and professionalism, the SSP urged officers to work with commitment and dedication to ensure effective crime control and timely justice delivery across the district.
